or UPPSC is the state agency authorized to conduct the Civil Services
Examination for entry-level appointments to the various Civil Services
of state of Uttar Pradesh. Civil Services examination is one of the most

The UP PCS Examination is held in three stages
Preliminary
Mains Written
Mains Interview
Preliminary Examination is screening test. At this stage number of candidates who write the exam is really huge. On the basis of Pre-Test commission shortlist candidates and invites applications to apply for UPPCS Main Examination which is split into two parts Written and Interview.
Merit list of written exam is prepared to invite candidates for Interview.
On the basis of final merit list the UPPSC office recommends names of selected candidates for appointment on various posts.
