Dr. Shakuntala Misra National Rehabilitation University established by Divyangjan Sashaktikaran Vibhag Uttar Pradesh, Government of Uttar Pradesh came up by an Ordinance dated August 29, 2008, later replaced by U.P. Act No. 1 of 2009, dated February 19, 2009, and U.P. Act No. 24 of 2011, dated November 28, 2011.

Eligibility Criteria

Generally, the admissions are based on Academic Merit and Weightage as decided by the University.

Bachelor Degrees: 12th Or Equivalent Exam From Any Recognized Board/University

Masters in Art: Graduation From Any Recognized University

Master of Commerce: B. Com from any recognized University

Bachelor in Business Administration: 10+2 or equivalent examination from any recognized board/ University with a minimum 50% Marks.

Masters in Business Administration: Graduation from any recognized university with a minimum 50% marks

Masters in Science: B.Sc.In Equivalent Degree From Any Recognized University With Minimum 45% Marks

M.Sc. Microbiology: Bsc (Biology Group/ Medical/ Para-Medical/ Mbbs/ Bvsc./ B.Pharma/ Bmlt And Allied Subjects) With Minimum 45% Marks.

M.Sc. Statistics: B.Sc. (Maths/Statistics/ Computers/ B.Tech.)/ Equivalent Degree From Any Recognized University With Minimum 45% Marks.

Academic Session

The classes for almost all the courses usually begin in the first week of July.

The year-end examination usually starts by the end of May and ends upto August

Placement

The University released the placement details for the 2022-23 academic year earlier. Per the report, 110 students were placed and the highest package stood at INR 9 LPA. Further, the lowest package offered during Dr Shakuntala Misra National Rehabilitation University placements in 2023 was INR 1.44 LPA. ICICI Bank, Intellipaat Software Solutions Pvt. Ltd., and Justdial, among others, were some of the leading companies that participated in the 2023 placement session.
