Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Lucknow

The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Lucknow is fourth in the prestigious IIM family of management schools to be established in India after IIM Calcutta, IIM Ahmedabad and IIM Bangalore. The establishment of IIMs was envisioned and initiated by the first Prime Minister of India – Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru.

The Institute was established in the year 1984. Since then IIML has touched millions of lives directly or indirectly through its faculty, alumni and support staff. IIML moulds its students into value driven leaders, managers and global players. The institute undertakes a diverse range of academic activities aimed at creation, dissemination and application of management knowledge and practice.

In 2005, IIM Lucknow expanded its area of influence in the realm of management education by becoming the first IIM to set up a satellite campus exclusively for Executive Education at NOIDA in Delhi NCR region.

Admission in IIM Lucknow

There are 2 stages that a candidate goes through before getting selected for IIM-Lucknow Programmes.

The first stage is appearing for the CAT Exam conducted by the IIMs.
Candidates are shortlisted for the interview on the basis of their performance in the CAT, scholastic achievement and relevant work experience. Final selection is based on performance in CAT, scholastic achievement, work experience, and performance in the Written Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interview (PI). The IIM Lucknow strives hard to provide excellent internship and job opportunities to students of professional programmes. For the purpose the university has a dedicated placement cell to give training to students and invite industry recruiters for selection of human resources. The Placement Cell works tirelessly to bridge the gap between academia and industry facilitating a seamless transition for students from the classroom to the corporate world.
