Mahayogi Gorakhnath University Gorakhpur

Mahayogi Gorakhnath ji Maharaj was an early advocate for social reform in India. Through his visionary and tireless work, he enlightened, educated, and awakened the masses against customs/evils such as untouchability and other differentiating, demeaning, and dividing customs, traditions, superstitions, social injustices, and narrow-mindedness that are prevalent in our Sanatan society. Instead, he emphasised moral and ethical activities, honesty, integrity, character, and outstanding personal and social behaviour. Mahayogi Gorakhnath, who spent his whole life to asceticism, represents Indian culture's glorious past of renunciation and reformation of our rituals and conventions by the norms.
